Blood Sugar Sex Magik
Dec. 7th, 2006 01:41 pmThat subject has nothing to do with my post, its just what I happen to be listening to right now.
Driving home, I picked up some of the last Xmas gifts I needed. I have a couple more I'll grab tonight, and then I'm done (Brian can get the rest). LJ is just so festive today - I like the darker colors at the top of the page.
Bills are paid, and I purchased my Arisia membership. Brian and I will make some sort of appearance over the weekend in costume, not on official troop duty though. Its a suck-ass con for Sci-Fi media purposes, but its a con in our area so some of us will be going.
I went to a Pampered Chef party last night at the home of a HS friend. I had a good time and the spinach and cheese roll-ups and the hot cocoa that we made using their implements were yummy. Its interesting to compare my experience in a post Alton Brown world to the parties I went to years ago, around 1999. I did buy a couple of things last night (I feel obligated to at those kinds of things) but they are general kitchen tools we've been lacking that are decent quality, and we'll find a lot of uses for. I can't believe some of the unitaskers that company sells!
Tonight we're grocery shopping, tomorrow laying low (I'd love to see The Nativity) and Saturday we're hosting SW geeks for our annual holiday special viewing (Happy Life Day!). Sunday we're visiting the Dis and their baby Leo. Schmoop!
Have a great weekend all!
