dancerjodithe start of another week (but a short one for me at that, yay!).
Regression analysis sucks major ass. Never before have I hated a class so much that 4 weeks before the end of the semester did I consider dropping out of the program.
House of 1000 Corpses rocked, as did Medieval Manor. Spending time with my sweetie did too. And going back to dance class tonight will also.
This short update brought to you by the fact that I'm really about done with homework for the semester (not that I've finished my work, that *I* am done). I need to try and stay away from this place to make my way through. I have decided also to take this summer off. I will SEW UP A STORM (I must, if we are actually going to pull off this Dragoncon trip in August).

Overall D*Con was fun, but since I was alone it was an eye opener about how I do things. I didn't have as MUCH fun since I didn't have anyone to meet up with to share my funny stories. Althought The Cruxshadows were awesome (as usual) and it was in a big fancy ballroom, and Sunday I went to visit my Ranger so I got some people stuff goin'.
Also, I had a hotel room off site, and that definately won't be the case if I go again, I didn't like walking around all day, then a 15 minute walk back to change (although Bella Morte was in my hotel *silly grin*)
If you guys are considering going, I was thinking about it too. To be honest, I'm waiting to see where my Ranger ends up. If he's back on base by then I'm So going, and chances are he and his friends would slick up to Atlanta to hang out (if they're not on alert AGAIN). It would be so neat if you and B were there, although I know T now as well, so I won't be all by my lonesome.
OK this got very long very fast. I'm giddy. *grins*

If he tried calling J's house, that'd be why he didnt get in touch - he was with me all weekend. :) In any case, no big deal - I mostly didnt realize it was opening weekend that weekend! But yeah, they should go. *big grin*.

Date: 2003-04-14 11:19 am (UTC)The Atlanta airport is the nicest I've ever seen, better than Heathrow. it's laid out in a straight line, and at the end is their transit system, which takes you right to downtown Atlanta.
I got there Friday afternoon, and stayed til Monday afternoon.
If I go this year, I'd want to get in Thursday, and leave Tuesday. I missed some things Friday due to my arrival time (like the cast of Battlestar Galactica) and waited in a super long line to get my badge. getting in Thursday would be much nicer. And there are still things goin on Monday, plus I saw my Ranger all day Sunday, got in late, then had to get up early, to get to the airport for my flight. I would have liked a day to rest, relax, and see parts of Atlanta.
The rates for the Mariott are ok, it's $169 a night for a quad. Depending on the Ranger I was thinking about getting at least a double, so he and his friends would have somewhere to crash, but I have to wait and see if he gets in in time.
Hmmm, maybe I should think about this. *grins*

Of course, this is all conjecture, since the Rangers in question are sunning themselves in happy Iraq. We can discuss, I'm out the door to go meet CB *schmoopy grin*
