Freakin Burrr!
Feb. 6th, 2007 08:58 amThat subject line has been my quote of the past couple of weeks. We've had such a mild winter, I'm just not used to it now! :)
I have a leak in one of my tires, and though I put air in on Saturday (I was almost flat - doh) I had to stop this morning to put more in again. While there I figured I'd gas up and put in some washer fluid (freakin burrr!). Of course, I couldn't get the top off of the washer fluid bottle - either I'm a total wimp, the bottle is defective or it was just so cold I couldn't get control of it with my red gloveless hand. I'll try and pry the damned thing off tonight with pliers or a knife - bwahaha! So yeah, I'm due for a new tire in the front. I'll get one thrown on when I bring it in for an oil change later this week, whenever I have time to do that.
Its funny, I haven't actually done stuff to a car beyond bringing it for service and gasing it up since the Caddy (tossing oil into the Saturn when it was low due to a leak doesn't really count). Related, the last car I really loved and felt I connected with (before this one) was the Caddy. Coincidence? It just felt weird to me owning cars and not doing stuff to them, but I didn't really like them enough to put in the effort beyond the required basics. I'm looking forward to warmer weather when I can wash her in the driveway again and take her cruising along Hampton Beach.
