It was a nice but odd weekend. I've been kind of in a funk lately. Its not a bad mood, but one of those not quite knowing what to do with myself moods. It tends to happen in the winter when we've been hermits for a bit. It usually comes to a head when Brian's on call for work, and we're unable to do the kind of things I'd normally do to get myself out of a funk. I would have loved to see some friends at Xmortis or go to the Andwutz show. Ah well - duty calls and all of that.

We had a few friends over for Brian's birthday. The good adventure of the weekend was creating a Boba Fett cake http://www.marmontianderson.com/photos/thumbnails.php?album=7 for him. The not so good adventure was when we learned that our kitchen cabinet was attached to the wall with a couple of 3" screws into drywall. Thankfully when it started to fall there were some strong guys near it to grab it, and most of the contents were plastic. I think we'll be finding tiny bits of glass for weeks despite sweeping and vacuuming!

This was the second birthday celebration weekend in a row, and another one for poor eating. I'm sure the scale won't be so kind to me on Wednesday, but it is what it is. We fall and we get back up again. I'm still wearing my size 6 pants (some are 6, some are 8, but today its a 6) so it can't be as bad as I'm feeling. My body really doesn't like for me to eat a lot of junk, so I'm craving salads, grilled chicken and that kind of thing. I'll be drinking a lot of water today.

The Chili Peppers won 4 awards in the Grammy's - yay (alas, none for Prince). I'm looking forward to dancing this week and to Brian being done with his on-callness. And soon I'm getting my butt out dancing and to a show!
