Sometimes I'm far too organized for my own good. I get really frustrated sometimes when people aren't as anal or efficient or thoughtful as me with things. Its unrealistic to expect people will be like that, but I still operate under that assumption sometimes, and then I drive myself crazy.

Its been almost 2 weeks since my driver's side mirror was knocked off of my car on 2/16. I called on Sat 2/17 and secured the part. I called on Tues 2/20 (the body shop was closed Sat, Sun and Mon) and gave them my paint color code. It was to be painted by 2/24 but wouldn't you know it, they forgot about me! I called on 2/27 to ask about it and they had no clue what I was talking about. I started the whole process again (find part with VIN, find paint code, paint the damned thing). They tell me it should be done by Saturday and can be installed then, but I won't believe it until its on my car. One would think installing a driver's side mirror wouldn't be such an ordeal, no? Brian and I needed to be somewhere by 1:00 and I'm in my ballet class from 10-12, so this kind of complicates things now. Either I can't go visit our friends on Saturday, or poor Brian will need to deal with my car stuff while I'm at class. In the grand scheme of things its just a mirror, and I have a temporary one that's been holding out very well. Still, it makes me want to hit somebody or scream really loud sometimes. It shouldn't be such a big deal, logically!

Unrelated, sometimes organizing things with the 501st is like herding cats. I should expect this, but sometimes I get caught up in my own head and make assumptions of how things operate again. I wish I could just turn that off sometimes. I'd never expect someone to be as anal as I, and don't fault people for not doing it. Still, it makes me want to pull my hair out sometimes. I don't get why people make their own lives more difficult or stressful for no reason.

Ah well, back to work!
