Satellite Party

I picked up Ultra Payloaded by http://www.myspace.com/satelliteparty on iTunes this morning. So good! Its got a funk/disco/pop/rock feel, so its right up my alley (but really, could you expect anything different from Perry Farrell and Nuno Bettencourt)?

In reading an article from the Herald about the group it made mention of Slayer touring with Marilyn Manson! They're playing at The Centrum on 8/4, and the tickets go on sale on 6/2 (with Bleeding Through and another opener tbd, according to this http://heavymetal.about.com/b/a/257980.htm )

The Tiki den is almost finished (or will it really be finished? Its probably a work in progress more likely). I'll want to take the curtains in there (which are actually clipped up bed spreads from Urban Outfitters) and sew them into real lined, properly fitting curtains at some point. For now they are there with plastic shower curtain liners behind them for privacy - not pretty but its cheap and doesn't make it like we're sitting in a fish bowl each night with the lights on.
