Sniff

I had a major revelation this morning at 4:30 AM. I've been suffering from headaches pretty often over the last week or so which is weird, because I rarely get them. I've also been having allergy symptoms - I knew it wasn't a cold but I've been stuffy, sneezy and kind of stuffy-headed feeling. My ears have been popping here and there - not painful but just kind of blocked. When I went to bed last night I was super stuffy but chalked it up to allergies since I had been in the den with the bunnies. After waking up a few times to blow my nose and then at 4:30 AM being WIDE AWAKE and wanting to be vertical (the kleenex wasn't doing it anymore) I thought, SINUS! My sinuses are having issues. Duh.

I just got up early figuring that the steam in the shower, some drugs and being vertical would help and boy was I right. Of course, I locked myself out of the house when bringing some trash out and had to wake up Brian with the bell to let me back in again. Doh! No being productive before some tea when you're sick! If I can keep up on the drugs, fluids and have some kleenex nearby *and* I can get a good amount of rest I think I'll be fine for the weekend. I'm already feeling 100 times better. Yay for using the proper medication - that's what its there for! I have to get better at recognizing symptoms and treating them earlier on, because I tend to tough it out needlessly and just end up making things worse.

Our den shelves are up (Brian put them up when he got home after working a super long day last night - he figured he'd take advantage of the fact that he could sleep in today and stay up a bit later). I'll take pics of that and our tree tonight. I can't wait to get that Ikea sectional; it will really complete the area and make movie watching with friends a lot easier.

This is the couch we're thinking of getting in the new year, money willing:

What color? I love the bright green and blue, but I'm wondering if something more neutral would be good - who knows how we'll want to paint and decorate that room over the years. The dark brown? Tan? Gray? I'm leaning in the direction of the dark brown.

Here's the colors in the room now (except we have bright green curtains and that new TV shelf - the new wall shelves over the TV mimic the ones along the longer wall - same brackets/stain - its an old pic because our old radiator cover is still in it):

Willy (the new wound near his right ear is healing - it doesn't look infected anymore and is all scabbed over):
