I knew this was coming because we've seen the sale sign in the window while passing by. I snapped a picture with my cell phone last month to try and save the old store front image for memory:

My grandmother who is 90 used to walk down to Harry's to get shoes for her entire family. There were 17 kids (or something silly like that) and she was the oldest. They knew what each family member wore and kept a tab there for her parents to reconcile later on.
Gone is old Waltham, but I think if you look hard enough at a lot of the Moody Street storefronts you can still catch a glimpse of it. I'm glad to have some kind of connection here and there to that type of US history.
