1/2 way to the weekend
Apr. 23rd, 2003 08:25 amWhy is it if you have one day off the week seems to take longer to get through to the weekend?
Tonight I have class (3 more after this, I think - maybe 2). I'm turning in a paper, doing a presentation and will get my last assignment. I'm hoping to get the other paper done earlier and if I do perhaps will skip the last class (I haven't missed any this semester at all).
Tomorrow night I'm going to see http://www.walthamtheband.com on Thursday with Sordidout; if anyone wants to join us they claim you can get tix at the door if you get there early (come on, you know you want to see some cute, rockin' guys that play music similar to Rick Springfield ;) )!
I noticed something neat in Meditech this morning (our internal e-mail and database/patient tracking system):
"Just a reminder that *Hospital* has a program in place to support employees who are breastfeeding and have returned to work. The program includes access to a breastpump and support from the lactation consultants. If you are interested in learning more about this program, please contact the Lactation office at *phone number* "
(dude, we have a lactation office! gotta love working for a group of hospitals!)
Quizzes snipped for those that don't want to see:

You're the Hipster Intellecticus. Call yourself
what you will (beatnik, philosophy major,
liberal arts student), you're still hip and you
still dig Kerouac.

Since we have decided to to give the Bad Religion in Wostah show a miss (too expensive), we might be going to this, since Mich also wants to see them. I'm game, not that I'm cazy about ANYTHING that sounds like Rick Springfield. But only if I don't have to jump through hoops (namely, if I'm willing to forego Bad Religion because it's too far and expensive, how much of a sacrifice do you think I'll make to see your ex-boyfriend).
I'm not even gonna bring up the whole jealousy issue. :) He may have a band, but he is not, how you say...ah yes, Carlos.
Not to mention that I should stick by my man B. and boycott your exes...
Besides, Mich is making noise about going to see Jabe on Saturday. I might need some rock'n roll to inmunize myself from the jangly mandolins from hell.
So anyway, any idea how much this costs and when I have to get there to get tickets?
no, the fact that Erin is going has nothing to do with this...
Heh,
Date: 2003-04-23 01:53 pm (UTC)Um, before they sell out :/. I know that so many tix were given out by the radio station and that the bands had so many to give out too (Sordid got her tix from the radio station). You could try calling the club or WBCN for more details . . .

I don't have any details of the show other than the time that Waltham goes on (between 10:30 and 11:00), unfortunately.

Hee hee :)
"Not to mention that I should stick by my man B. and boycott your exes..."
Well, he doesn't boycott my exes, they get along pretty well (in the limited times they are around each other).

There you go! I think they are a really fun band (and all them are talented musicians too - and I'm not just saying that because we all chilled together back in the day).
"no, the fact that Erin is going has nothing to do with this..."
HEY, I'll be there too you know! ;)
Re: Heh,

So much better a man than I, in so many ways.
HEY, I'll be there too you know! ;)
And you indeed rock my little devil-horned-denim-jacketed-bandana-wearing world.
But I never freaking see Erin.
Re: Heh,
Date: 2003-04-23 02:31 pm (UTC)Yay! Perhaps we should meet up for food beforehand? I have yet to figure out where and when I'm meeting Erin.
"So much better a man than I, in so many ways."
He does boycott *some* of them, just not all ;)
"And you indeed rock my little devil-horned-denim-jacketed-bandana-wearing world."
*blushes*, thanks man!
