BadAndy is out at a job site right now, and met an employee of that company who is selling a 79 Monte Carlo for $700.
Shit.
The thing is insured and is running, Bad Andy says it looks good from the pics.
He'll get more details from the guy after he's done with his job. If the body is in good shape its worth $700 just to sit in my garage and gradually be rebuilt (oh, and BadAndy wouldn't have any fun at all doing that, nope - can you sense my sarcasm?).
Hee hee, I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Re: sweet car!!
Date: 2003-08-13 09:34 am (UTC)Me too, it was my first car.
"Nice old V8, pimpdaddy (or pimpmama) luxury cah"
Actually they came with a V6 standard (4.3 L). I'd want to drop a V8 in, though.
"I hope you can get it! :)"
Its kind of a time I wanted to save money, not spend it. But if its seems like a good deal we'll probably go for it (B was going to suprise me for it, but then figured I might hit him or something for spending the money, so he called about it).
Re: my first "big" car
Date: 2003-08-13 10:02 am (UTC)Heh, my parents version of that would be the puke green pinto (you know, the ones that were recalled because they would explode on impact?). That was my Dad's one and only car until he got the Volkswagon Bus, then the Impala (drools) then he got Mom her own car, one of those red and faux wood paneled station wagons.
"I used to take the Zephyr out on Sunday drives.. I kid you not.. me and the long winding back roads of suburbia. Open windows and the smell of trees and loud rock & roll blaring from the speakers."
Yes, I miss those times very much. Mine was so perfect too because of my last name - it was "The MarmontiCarlo".
