Yep, its fall!
Sep. 30th, 2003 08:24 amFALL:
It was so chilly when I went out to warm up my car this morning before feeding the bunnies (I'm trying to get into the habit again) that I wore my leather jacket to work. Whoot! Per NPR its to be around 50 degrees (!) some day or night this week. I can't remember when it was, I was only 1/2 paying attention.
SEWING:
Yesterday was nice. I picked up my velvet and hopefully enough liner (we shall see) for my Halloween coat. I have a shirt and pants that are good enough, got the gun, so I'll just need to get a belt and make the buckle that has the Naboo Royal Crest on it and then I'm done. I totally lucked out at Sewfisticated Fabrics - pretty burgundy velvet for $6.99 a yard!
INK:
I finally checked out http://www.pinobrosink.com/ since I was driving by, had time to kill and saw Frank's van out front. MAN is that place swanky; its much nicer than Jim's Tattoo in Seabrook, NH was (where I got my first tat). He gave me the tour of the whole place, I got to meet everyone that was there, and we chatted a bit about how they are trying to find a place in Waltham to move the business too (the guys are thinking of trying to buy a building since it appears that nobody wants to rent to them). I need to get off my butt and figure out my design so that I can go in and get work, he said something to the degree of "don't worry darling, when you're ready you just give me a call and I'll set you up" - heh. And you people wonder why I miss Waltham - its not the geography, its the community.
****
I'm only working 4 hours today because I need to head to the dentist for a filling before going to school (yay numb mouth during class, ick). Perhaps tonight I'll do something completely fluffy after getting home, like put up our Halloween decorations - I mean its *almost* October (nah, I'm not excited at all, am I?).
