Jacket, update

I already have a nice wool coat that I can wear with dressy clothes, and I have a flannel-lined wool cloak (needs a new clasp, but that's easy). This one will be for every-day casual wear.

I think I may go for something like this (in "pavement"):

Very cute. You might also want to check Land's End, as they have similar, albeit somewhat more expensive, jackets that might be warmer for those Mass. winters.

Thanks! Do you have any idea where I could try them on in person? I've poked around the website and if the thing fits, looks nice and will keep me warm I'd be willing to pay more for it (I'm counting on this thing lasting a long time). I'd prefer trying it on, rather than mail-ordering something so expensive and big and then needing to ship it back :)

You might try Sears - I know they are carrying some Land's End stuff now. Also, I am pretty sure that they have a good return policy, but I'm not certain. Sorry...:(

RE Sears, thanks! I actually just saw a commercial last night saying that they carried Land's End stuff :)

I think most of the appliances and stuff in our house are from Sears, we've had good luck with them.
