Almost the weekend!

There was an article in our paper about a Spam cook-off at Jake and Earl's in Waltham. It was a sold out event, representatives from Hormel were there, and there was a picture of a waitress that works at the place who was the "Spam Queen". She is the younger sister of my old best friend from when I was a kid (her Mom and my Mom were best friends all while growing up). No, I'm not a townie, dammit! ;)
Lacuna Coil was awesome, I'm glad that they fixed the messed up sound that was effecting Christina's voice for the first couple of songs. Oh my God is their male singer hot - sexy, long-haired Italian guy that's not greasy like my Dad's cousins :)
After getting bills out of the way it seems like I have some money to play with. I poked around the http://www.penzeys.com website for spices, Brian and I will FINALLY place an order.
I also placed an http://www.uptontea.com/ order since its been a while, and since I wanted to pick up some stuff that I sampled at last Saturday's tea. I did it this morning via their website, and I already got the confirmation and packing e-mail - they are only a couple of towns over me so its not inconceivable that it will be on my porch when I get home tonight! Here's what I got:
-A smooth, medium bodied BOP Darjeeling at an affordable price. Notable for its pleasant lingering flavor and fresh aroma with a hint of flowers. An excellent iced tea.
-A blend of black tea with cinnamon, cloves, vanilla and cardamom. Decorated with orange peel, rose petals and almond pieces. (they are calling it “Christmas Blend”)
-Fine Indian tea is blended with cocoa, cardamom, and a hint of mint to produce a balanced and warming cup. A delicate treat for any chocolate or tea lover.
And some Samples to try:
-Rooibos, flavored and blended with apple pieces and a touch of mint. A caffeine-free beverage that is wonderful hot or cold.
-Dried berries and rose-hips yield a red liquor, bright harmony of tart flavors, and natural vitamin C. Contains no caffeine.
-A flavorful white tea with a delicate liquor that is smooth and pleasingly sweet. This affordable style of white tea is characteristic of that popularly enjoyed in China.
-A blend of chamomile, citrus peels, rose-hips, orange blossoms, lemon grass, mint, hibiscus, and flavoring. A relaxing cup of tea.
-Coarse cut for blending with green tea or steeping alone as a refreshing herbal beverage.

As of yesterday there still were tix available, but I know they eventually sold out. So if you want to catch them this weekend it shouldn't be too difficult.

Yes you are. It is a measure of my affection for you that it doesn't bother me (much).

I don't know...I find the whole "protruding eyes" thing unnatractive in guys. He's a pretty good singer, though. And he has a lot of stage presence. I myself think the dude in the braids is better looking.
