Finally

At some point over the week IS updated all our PCs (new hardware, new OS, new domain to connect to the network). I finally got the new password to get in and then catch up on back e-mails from my vacation week. I'm pleased to say that there were no work emergencies. One of our doctors had a stroke last Tuesday though :/ He's the cool guy that grew up in the country and shares hunting stories, keep him in your thoughts.

I have my winter holiday decorations up in my cube, whee! Lighted garland always cheers me up. I'm on the quest to find one of those plastic pens that looks like a candy cane and smells like peppermint when you write. Usually I get them at Walgreens but haven't seen them this year; have any of YOU seen them?

I'm totally swoony over this , we saw it at Harrison's comics yesterday (they want $20 more then Toys r Us is charging). My honey said he may get me one for Xmas. God do I love that dress, methinks I need one for the next Dragoncon (yeah there will be a bunch of women in them I'm sure, but I don't really care)!

Only 2 more weeks of classes and then my papers are due the week after that, whoot! Here's to a whole month off with no school work to do :)

I saw that in person at the comic convention last weekend; it's so gorgeous. Yeah, I'm in love with that dress too; and I think this is the first time ever I've liked my birthstone color (the peridot green in her diadem).

You would look gorgeous in that.

Its so fricken gorgeous and I'm not doing this for a contest or anything so I'm pondering just buying it - that kind of feels like cheaping out, though (and I'm guessing a bunch of people would have the same idea too).

Brian and I had a good couple costume idea the other day too - the joker and catwoman from the old 1966 Batman Movie that we just watched (Lee Meriwether and Cesar Romero), I have no clue where I'd find stretchy, shiny material like was used in her catsuit, though.

Wow. Thats nice. And for a really good price too! You could even add beading to it or whatever to make it your own if you wantd to. :)

I think that's what I'm going to do - its such a good price for the fabric alone (I'm kind of intimidated by the dyeing process and trying to get something to that green color . . . I killed my first attempt at the picnic gown that way). I have to be good though, and wait until after Xmas gifts are purchased to order it. I'm paranoid that they'll sell all of them out or something though.

The descriptions of some of their outfits are so cheezy - like their version of the Neo Matrix coat for instance. Still, they do have a lot of neat stuff. I found out about them from ordering weapons for Brian (they've been carrying more and more clothing in each catalog).

I also got some catalog that had Lord of the Rings jewlery including crowns . . . God help me :)

I found it in a print catalog that's shown up at my house 5x already. I wasn't planning on making or getting a LOTR outfit so I figured it would be safest to recycle them as they came in :)

But I'm sure I'll get another one, I'll let you know when I do. I remember the stuff being amazingly beautiful but also very expensive (of course).

Heh, if I ever find them again I'll let you know. I'm using one at work that's 2 years old and praying that the ink won't run out :)

First I miss the Rockettes, then I can't find my holiday pen - I tell ya, next there won't be a Charlie Brown Christmas Special on TV!

harrison's is one thing i miss about living in salem. i'd go there at least once a week and just gawk at all the action figures i wanted. never was able to buy them, but i wanted them...bad. the guys who worked there when i lived in salem were super nice too. made it easier to walk in and drool over everything for 3 hours and then leave without purchasing a thing :)
