First the school stuff, my GPA for the semester was 4.0 (two A's, whoot!) and my cumulative GPA for the program is 3.92. Double rock. I am now officially done with 1/2 of my Master's degree.

I got my spring tuition bill in the mail yesterday, ouch! This is the first time I'm paying for 9 credits at once (3 classes worth) and it came to around $3300. I know this is cheap compared to private colleges so I'm not complaining but man, only $900 of that is tuition (the rest are fees - or rather, funds to end up in Bulger's pocket). Its a good thing that I got that Christmas bonus for work, I don't know how I'd pay for it otherwise.

The visit with my HS friend was very nice. We made fajitas for dinner and then chilled in her apartment. She's REALLY big into scrapbooking and is a consultant for http://www.creativememories.com/ . If anyone wants to buy stuff or host a party (where she teaches lessons on scrapbooking techniques) please let me know - her stuff is looking really good.

*nod* Suffolk's less expensive than most other private schools - fees are about $40/year for part time student, and classes are $1500/3 credits. But that doesn't help if it's inconvenient to take classes there.

She needs a chemistry, and an anatomy & physiology class to get into hygienist school. Umass was the only place she found that had a Spring semester class that fit into her work schedule. As it turns out, Umass -also- requires a prerequisite for their chemistry classes, so she's going to take the calculus at Massasoit.
