Its finally Friday
Nov. 17th, 2000 08:33 amI went to go see "Requiem for a Dream" last night - I loved the movie and I'm glad that I saw it, but it wasn't a good idea to go when my mood was a bit 'off'.
A big hug and thank-you to all of my friends last night who were concerned at Diesel . . . that movie just rubbed me in a really wrong way and instead of just letting it out - I kept it in. And I ended up feeling very unhappy.
I love you all :)

Date: 2000-11-17 11:17 am (UTC)Actually, this is the first movie I've been effected by in this way. I've seen very disturbing and gorey movies (hmmm, does "Faces of Death" count in that category) and none of them have bothered me before.
It wasn't anything gross that happened, is the sincere emotion and the power of it all that the characters displayed . . . much more real than anything else I've ever seen.
But no, I don't think it would be a good movie for you (based on the little I know if your taste in movies).
