On the channel 5 news last night, Framingham was noted as being #11 for towns in Massachusetts where you can get the "most bang for your buck". Here's a portion of the related article:

I guess Boston Magazine did a study comparing communities. There is a link on the website also that rates characteristics per community.
Perhaps this is good timing? :)

It really is an eyechart! The entre results are on a single page.

Date: 2004-04-02 11:14 am (UTC)On the first part of the article (the link I posted was the 2nd part) there is a link to see it in .xls format - that way its really easy to read and is searchable. Its not sortable because of the stupid rows they put between data every 4 or so towns . . . but its easier to work with at least.
I just found it on the main bostonchannel.com site - there's a link to the article down near the right bottom (talks about Weston and Marblehead) and then within that there was a link to the list, and to the Framingham part.
My coworker told me she saw it on the news. They were in downtown Framingham boasting about all of the shops, and the train and such.
I think Boston Magazine does this rating every year, but I don't remember them ranking the cost/benefit before.
