The inspection in Framingham went well - hopefully we'll have both P&S' signed by the end of Friday. And then we pack and make moving arrangements :)
Here's pics we took during our inspection on Monday afternoon:

Funky things to note:
Mexican paint style in hallway and kitchen (i.e. some walls with alternating colors)
Man did they like yellow! The kitchen, hallway, 1 bedroom and master bath are all yellow!
Neat old radiators and detailed brass locks/doorknobs
Dinky 1/2 bath on first floor (probably was a closet)
Dutch-door in living room leads to sunroom (where buns will live, will be a sitting room, and will eventually get a wood stove)
Kitchen is a nice size, pretty updated
Soapstone sink in basement
Work from who my dad would call "Bozo the plumber" in basement
2-car garage from long driveway
Good sized yard
Patio area just aching for a jacuzzi
Walk-up attic
New furnace, newer water heater, all new windows (last fall), mostly new electrical (some rooms grounded, others not . . . but at least there is no knob and tube) :)
Basically, its the same # of rooms as we have in Framingham and the house is aligned in a similar way, mostly fully updated house, they are just smaller rooms. We'll have to be creative with furniture arrangement and such but MAN is the location worth it!

Date: 2004-04-28 08:41 am (UTC)Very cool new digs there. Heh, I think that Bozo (or one of his close relatives) did work in my house's basement as well.

Date: 2004-04-28 09:53 am (UTC)That's funny!
Maybe it was 2 years ago she moved? The people that are living there now have only been there 2 years.
They also said they did a lot of work on the place (kind of lead us to believe that the place was a complete dump when they moved in). Does it look any different to you? I'm just assuming you've been in it before.
Its very freaky to think that in 2 months we could be living in Waltham again - 6 blocks from you guys. Yay!
