Freaky

Two weeks from today movers will be taking the things from our house into a truck. That truck will be driven away and stored for 2 nights, after which it will be driven to our new house and unloaded. This is very, very weird.

Operation "pack like crazy and patch holes in the walls" will now commence. Putting glow in the dark stars on the bedroom walls was a bad idea. :) Tonight (hopefully) the weight machine and fridge go away. I'd love to finally get rid of the Salvation Army stuff (and Tember, I have things that you were going to take, will you be around Thursday for us to drop them off?). We'll have multiple trips around to pick up boxes from people. Also, this weekend the Garage gets emptied (hopefully) on Sunday.

Next week the small dumpster arrives on Monday for us to throw away things that we've piled in our basement that the town of Framingham won't take (old building materials, yard waste, odds and ends). I'm looking forward to living somewhere that for all sakes and purposes, would take a dead body away if it was cut into small enough pieces and left on your sidewalk :).

We'll also have to take apart the bunny's house and replace the unfinished trim around there that they've been chewing with finished, painted trim. The poor buns - after that's done they'll be confined to a smaller cage that really limits their mobility. I'm hoping there is some way we can move them to an empty room to let them run around (supervised of course - since they'll chew anything they can get their little teeny mouths around).

Our kick-ass air conditioner in the den will be replaced with another cheaper one (its built-in, so we'll need to cut out the plywood that's been around it and put in another piece cut to fit the smaller, weenier AC). We want to keep the cool kick ass AC for ourselves in the new house.

In addition to this we're doing last minute legal stuff: faxing papers, making phone calls, etc. *And*, were trying to plan the work that will happen at the new house on closing day before our stuff arrives 1 day later. Its looking like the sunroom will be our TV room and there was work that needed to be done in there before winter. It would be really good if some of that happened before the movers arrived, so that we didn't have to move the hulking entertainment center out on our own later on. We shall see - it will all be a matter of time and money available.

I'm reiterating - if anyone is free on June 16 and WANTS TO HELP US please pencil us in. We'll need help in the afternoon and PM doing either painting, or nailing down a plywood floor in the sunroom (not messy work, way easier than moving). I'm not trying to beat a dead horse or anything, its just that some of you have asked :)

This is very, very strange. But exciting at the same time. Now if the pulled muscles in my back would just feel a bit better I'd feel much better :)

You'd still have to bag it. ;)
