I would have been psyched more than anything to see this movie tonight. I'd buy it on VHS when it was available and watch it 200,000 times while my parents made fun of my musical tastes. Dad would add insult to injury, mimicking the "YAH" noise while making a scrunched up face.

And I'd be all giddy over Lars http://www.diabolis.net/~dancer/ChildhoodPix/Childhood2.jpg . My, have things changed. Here's hoping I'm not bored out of my mind. The movie is 2.5 hours long.

Right now I'm just happy to be getting out of work. And I'm hungry dammit - must grab some grapes to bring on the road :)

"Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine tells MTV News he got stabbed in the back by Metallica and filmmakers Joe Berlinger and Bruce Sinofsky after he agreed to help them out with the $4.3 million movie 'Some Kind of Monster'. In one of the most powerful scenes in the film, Mustaine confronts Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich about being kicked out of the band in 1982 for being a belligerent drunk. "If you watch the stuff linearly, it's totally different," Mustaine said. "They filmed three hours of us together and they only used about five minutes. Why didn't they use the part where Lars gets up and walks to the bathroom crying because I let him have it because of the shit that happened?"

I wanted to see Lars cry goddamit! I wanted to see that SO badly.

i want to see that movie so bad too. not that i'm a metallica fan (i used to be back in like '87), but because i'm obsessed with documentaries.
