Snow

The drive in this morning wasn't bad for me at all (plus, shoveling this snow was much better than our last storm because it wasn't as wet/sticky/heavy). We had less snow in Waltham than here in Malden, but they've done a good job keeping up with it with the plows and sanding. Lets see how the drive home is in this freezing rain that WBZ kept talking about. :/

I have 3 meetings scheduled at the Melrose Campus this afternoon and need to take my lunch hour to apply for a passport. It turned out that the branch post office I went to in Waltham last night doesn't do them, and the main office only does them while I'm at work (Mon-Fri, 10-4). Here's hoping I'm able to do it today in either Malden or Melrose and don't have to go searching for *another* post office tomorrow :). Its really weird - I actually have my original birth certificate from Waltham Hospital (with the footprints, gold hospital seal, and all)! If that's not good enough (since its not certified by the city) I have my marriage license too (along with my driver's licence and SS card).

Given all this, I'm taking work with me to Melrose, and will head home from there for the day. As of this point we'll still be planning on going out to Somerville unless things get worse than they've said it will (I'm not really scared of 3-6").

I am not afraid of that about of snow... I was out driving in the last too big snow dumps..

I am afraid of jerks who drive like it is a clear sunny day in those conditions..

As above, it's not the snow, it's the idiots on the roads, says the guy who nearly died this morning when one such idiot on the BU bridge decided to blind us all with heavy slush on this curving overpass rather than slow down. Lucky for all of us, we all stopped at the same time and no one collided.
