I got down the scale from on top of our linen closet this morning to weigh myself. Its been a while, we're going to be making more of an effort to eat well and exercise, and I wanted a baseline. I don't weigh myself often. I've been feeling very heavy lately. So I take it down, put it on the floor, step on, and it reads "LO". It needs a new battery. I know it doesn't mean my weight is actually low, but it gave me pause and made me think a minute. It may be higher than the ideal but it can't be all that bad. I'm still wearing the same clothes and all.

I'm going to try and find a battery during my lunch break. I'll also get some food for myself since we had nothing healthy at home to bring in, and I'm not resorting to crappy, fatty, microwaved hot dogs again (the only thing in the fridge I could have brought in). And grapes - we need grapes for tonight! If I don't buy them we won't have any. If I *do* buy them 30 people will bring them. I guess, you can never have too many grapes, right?

So I'll go out in the rain and the wind, lose my stellar parking spot in the lot, and waste most of my lunch hour. However, I'll have a healthy (and yummy) lunch to show for it and won't need to stop for things on the way home, thus giving me more time before heading out to rehearsal. Maybe I'll paint my nails silver or something! :)

That's something I'm no good at, either. I'm constantly running out to the supermarket or stopping by after work to get one thing or another. I really have to make a point of taking one evening, like a Sunday or something, and doing a whole grocery shopping order. I know it would save me time and TONS of money, and seems so simple, but it's just never in my scope, you know?

BTW, [livejournal.com profile] dancer, I thought you were looking very slender on Saturday night :)

Too late, I bought the grapes already (right after I made that post).

See, 30 people :)

If you bring the grapes, I will *heart* you for it. I am totally overwhelmed, still have to finish sewing my skirt and making the signs.

I have grapes.
I have one silver goblet.
I have lots of costuming bits, including shimmy belts and veils, in the car in case anyone needs them.
I also have a baggie of cornstarch for our feet, in case anyone is dancing barefoot.

We should be good. :)

tonight
