What I don't understand

dancerjodiis why someone would want to do grant writing professionally on purpose. I know, one person's trash, another person's exciting geeky pursuit. Still, this project is driving me insane!
The application is due on 1/21. We'll know some time in late Feb or March if we've been picked for phase 2 of the application process. Though I'd love us to get this funding, I can also say I'd be relieved to be done pulling data for the project if we don't make it to phase 2. At least I've been told that the CEO is aware of my efforts and appreciative of them.
Off to do some of my own work now. Thus far I've spent 57 hours working on this project over the last couple of weeks (on top of the regular work I'm supposed to be doing). Geesh! I need some tea. I'm still using up some of Upton's Christmas Tea blend. Once that and some others are drunk it will be time to order more goodies (first though, spices from Penzeys!).
