I got - steam heat
Jan. 20th, 2005 08:35 amSort of. Our furnace is working, but has been taking a lot of water lately. It turns out the water gage isn't working - so we have no clue how high or low it is (until the water gets low, and the furnace shuts itself off as a safety precaution). In the meantime we'll just need to keep filling to make sure there is enough in there.
Brian's calling a plumber when he gets up, since it was too early to do it at 6:00 AM when I discovered said lack of heat. For future reference, though Nstar does send out plumbers (as Brian and I learned in the past in Framingham), Keyspan doesn't (we did call them at 6:00 AM). Its a good thing we've got 2 names on hand to call (the business card for the guy that installed the furnace a couple of years ago, and a guy we used in Framingham a few years ago who does a lot of work in Newton, so presumably he'd come to Waltham, a friend of Vinny's).
In other news, we should be hitting Dark Sky tonight.
