We'll be in the Boston St. Patrick's Day parade in Southie this year. Someone from the 501st contacted them to see if they wanted us and not only are they interested, but they are going to donate $500 to a charity of our choice! We need to make sure we get a good looking group there, because this is a big one. Brian is going to look into how much parade banners are, because trying to carry our table banner and keep it flat in the wind doesn't always work. Whether the float that we all made for the Woburn Halloween parade is going or not is still up for debate.

Other events in the works include St. Pat's parades in CT and RI, children's hospital visits and (of course) the eventual Episode III movie promotional events.

Awesome! I try to go to the Southie parade every year, tho I didn't last year for some reason or another. If I haven't had Baby yet perhaps I will get out there and watch this year, as walking is definitely helpful in bringing on labor, and it will be cool to see you guys in action!

We go to my great-uncle's house early with my parents and have breakfast and lunch and see the parade and it's a lot of fun.

Cute regiments of men in kilts.. oh yeah.

I think that some of the stormtroopers should kiss each other to piss off the Southie residents that wanted to ban gay and lesbian marchers a few years ago.

That's the part of this that makes me not happy about this all. I mean, you don't look a gift $500 donation to the Jimmy Fund in the mouth, but I'm not happy about what parade organizers have done in the past.

I thought that gay groups were allowed to march now, though I could be wrong (I've never gone).
