You wouldn't imagine it would be hard to find 6 yards of white polyester. Yeah, polyester is what old men's pants are made of, but it would be perfect for the ANH Princess Leia dress. I found 3.5 yards of something PERFECT last night but it wasn't enough. I'm going to try Fabric Place again after work where I can take the time to wander around (and I guess I could be FORCED to look in at the stuff at Freddie's!). I'm guessing Walmart would be good for it too, but I don't know when I'll have the time to get out there. I miss the days of having an Ames down the street . . .
I'm off work tomorrow, though I have to drive into Melrose for an 8:30 AM meeting anyway. We'll be visiting the Hasbro Children's Hospital in Providence, RI with the 501st. Its been a long time since I've been in a children's hospital (geesh, it was 1997 I think). That year I worked in one at my internship with DSS (at Franciscan's in Brighton) and spend a couple of weeks in one visiting my brother (at Children's in the Longwood area) and his busted head. Later he'd go to Franciscan's for rehab and that was convenient, because I could visit him before heading to the other floor for my internship. Its weird, because I never thought I'd be 'that kind of person' that could tolerate well the pain and illness in those kind of places (though, experience showed it to be true). I guess I'm good at mentally separating myself from people when necessary (despite being a very emotional person).
In other news, some people just need to get over themselves.
Its Thursday! That means there are burritos, friends and knitting (goffee) in my future in Davis Square tonight.
