The Watch Factory building will be converted to a hotel, restaurant and "first class" office space (right now its ghetto office space). I'm psyched they won't be more over-priced condos (what Waltham needs like a hole in the head). My grandparents met here when it was actually a Watch Factory. Later my Dad rented a huge office space for his printing business, American Graphics. I used to ride my big-wheel through the expansive halls (though, never did get to explore the tunnels and secret rooms in the basement): http://www.dailynewstribune.com/localRegional/view.bg?articleid=51439

There will be a tea room most likely opening on Moody. The location is near the corner of High Street (across from So Cal). I can't wait! The funny thing is that my uncle dated Sally Collura years ago. Her family broke them up because he was a total bad-boy biker, though apparently they were much in love. Now she's an active, single "Ms Waltham" of sorts in the community:

No more news on the dead body that was found (at the middle school that my dance recital will be at come June) this week since they identified him on Tuesday:

I am glad it will be "public space".

Help me out. If BK is at the top of Crescent St, where are they putting parking? And can the area handle the additional traffic?

To provide the 1,000 parking spaces needed for the proposed uses, First Republic also plans to build parking structures at the southwestern end of the complex as well as on the two existing lots across Crescent Street.

You just answered your own question:

"To provide the 1,000 parking spaces needed for the proposed uses, First Republic also plans to build parking structures at the southwestern end of the complex as well as on the two existing lots across Crescent Street."

There is space next to the left side (if looking at the building) of the building. Also the 2 lots across the street. In addition the Fitch school will be closing (next year?) so that property will be up for grabs.

"And can the area handle the additional traffic?"

I don't think it will be any different - the place at one time was filled with office space (I guess now its mostly empty). As the article mentions, they are doing a traffic study (and Steve Rourke is involved - head of the Island Neighborhood association and a on the city council iirc).
