Dance class was rescheduled for tonight, but I've got plans already. Ah well, there goes my $10.

We finished watching the Some Kind of Monster DVD extras last night. I'm curious to see what Metallica's next step is. It was nice to see them acknowledging on film that Load and Reload were simply loads of crap. I didn't like the method they used for coming up with St. Anger (things were too disjointed) though I liked elements of some of the songs, so I'm waiting to see what's next. I want to like them again, you know? We have quite the history together!

I dressed down a bit today because of the snow and you know what - I have a meeting with some big cheeses at 2:00. Whoops!

More trip research was done last night. We'll have 3 days in London, and at this point we know that we want to go to the Victoria+Albert, want to do a Bath+Stonehedge day tour, want to see some kind of show, and want to do the gothy shopping thing. Of course I'd like to check out the more stereotypical stuff (Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abby, Big Ben, Tower of London), but I'm not sure how long those things will take. Most important, is finding where the Agent Provacateur stores are, and which one will be easiest to get to. :) Scotland planning will happen over the next few weeks or so . . .

When you're in Bath, check out Sally Lunn's Bake Shop. There's been a bakery on that site for so long that if you get a chance to see the old ovens in the basement, you'll notice stalactites and stalagmites in the pantry. :)

I did the "Default Tourist Package" on my first trip to London (Buckingham + Westminster + Big Ben + Tower + Mdm Tussaud's) It's an afternoon if you're brisk about it -- though I suspect you'll linger for a while at the Tower's Arms and Armour exhibits. ;)

Goth shopping at Camden Market will probably take about two to three hours depending on how thorough you want to be. As for as shows go, you'll probably want to browse Time Out's site a bit before you go to get an idea of what shows are in town, then pickup rush tickets on the day of the show you want to see. I've had good luck with getting rush tickets for Royal Shakespeare shows at the Barbican. Also, the ticket booth in Leicester Square usually has tons of half-price day-of-show tickets for West End shows.
