The new tap routine we've been working on - we're performing it to a Barry Manilo song. Fricken Barry Manilo! I think its "Sweet Heaven" (I'm in love again) - its on the Scores Album:

I think given the practice I need on it I'm going to suck it up and buy the CD. This hurts. I'm not sure if it hurts as much as when I bought an nSync CD to practice for the Dance Theater Alum routine a couple of years back. What do you think?

At least its not Copacabana! :)

save a few bucks maybe

Can you just buy the single song from iTunes instead?

I'll have to poke around at home and see if they have it (and if that title is even correct, I'm not sure). I can't download things onto my computer at work . . .

Thanks!

You have to admit it's a great song, though!! It's a little on the fast side, but it's fun, and like you said, at least it's not Copacabana!!! lol

No, no I don't ;).

The timing of the song is just odd, fast at some times and slow at others. That's the main reason I'd like to get it to practice with (not that the dance itself is so hard, but timing it to the music has been).

For some strange reason, I loved Copacabana when I was a kid. I still remember all the words. I wish I could use those brain cells for something else now.

My Mom had a Barry Manilow record and that song was the only one I really cared about. A friend of mine and I even tried to choreograph a dance to it. Of course, I was 8 at the time and really liked a lot of songs that I can't fathom why I did looking back now :).

Tell me about it! :)

when i was in high school our jazz choir did a jazz choreography routine while we sang "Jump, Shout, Boogie" by Barry Manilow. it was the best one we ever did and SO much fun.

Copacabana is fun just for the cheese factor, but i can't picture a tap routine to it!

We'll be dancing to another song, I think its the one I noted in my post (but I'll have to listen to all of the songs on that album to confirm).
