It was too hot to cook yesterday, so we went to D'Angelos for subs (we still had $ leftover from last weekend's budget). Of course, when I got home I felt guilty for the inevitable rot of the food in our fridge if we didn't do something with it, and it had cooled down a bit so we decided to cook anyway. There's some turkey chilli and grilled jerk chicken in the fridge for later use. I can't wait to see what we get in our first farm share tonight, and figure out what to do with it :)
After cooking Brian and I sat on the front porch for a while, he with a laptop and me with either bubbles or a book. Its nice to have a bigger porch, have a place that's nice to sit, and have random passerbys that say hello. The crazy wind and rain moved us inside to sit near open windows to continue the breeze. Brian continued to geek (shocking) with the laptop and after reading some more I picked up my knitting. I have about a month to finish nephew's Gryffindor scarf for his birthday.
In not fun news, a squeak noise started coming from my front left wheel last night. Its very similar to the brake pad noise (squeal when I'm moving, stop when I'm braking). Its a good thing I'll have my butt parked at Saturn on Saturday morning anyway for the 120k tuneup (where they check the brakes). It may serve to be one expensive morning (ouch), so I'm waiting to pay bills until after that's taken care of.
Damn humidity. At least in Boston we don't have to deal with it too much during the year.
Is anyone going to goffee tonight? Brian and I were pondering it, but it wouldn't make a lot of sense if nobody else was going . . .
