Ok, skip the scanning part unless you really want to blow up any of those photos (it's early and I hadn't seen the link you put up). It still seems like a good idea to save the negatives in case you ever do want to get enlargements of specific photos or if you someday decide to make an album. I'm all for getting rid of excess stuff, but it's not like you'll be able to get more of these down the road.
