Friday with friends and movies was fun. Saturday's move went amazingly well (yay for people as compulsively organized as me!) and the Greek Themed party was a lot of fun. I've puttered around the house today getting a good deal of things done, hit Costco finally, and in a few hours we'll head out to the Tori Amos show. Should be a good night! :)
I've been trying to think of a place to put some bookshelves in the house that was out of the way and in currently unused space. Aha! We're going to put 3 shelves on the naked wall that's behind our couch in the den - here's a pic of it with the old rabbit hutch that used to be there, that's been long gone http://www.diabolis.net/gallery/displayimage.php?album=211&pos=46. I'm hoping we can put the hardcover books in the front hallway out there (freeing up the hallway for easier walking), have room for some books from Brian's computer room (giving him more room for collectibles) and space for our games that are currently inconveniently tucked into the end tables in our living room. We'll buy the wood and stain them the same as the 1 large shelf that's up on the right hand wall in that same room now (and use the same type of brackets that we used before) http://www.diabolis.net/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=222. I figure it will run us around $100 since the brackets are $6 each and we need a bunch. Of course, I'll try and sell the shelf that's in our front hall now and its mate that's sitting in the attic right now, so perhaps that will get us some cash to cover it. Does anyone want a pair of shelves like these? they are collapsible dark wood ones (not stackable, I hate to say). You can see them here: http://www.diabolis.net/gallery/displayimage.php?album=95&pos=6
Ah home decorating! After Dragoncon we'll start making our kitchen look (decoratively) like the one in Framingham did after we completely rennovated it.
