Training today was hot and cold. It will be a very neat skill for me to gain, but a challenging one. Most people in the training session are IT developer or Director types, not simple analysts like me. Its a Meditech NPR report writer training (I'm a mad woman!) and most people in the class seemed to have a lot more experience with Meditech. The concepts are fine, but some of the instructors move faster than I can follow at times.

I'm also reminded how convenient it is for me that I can get to Meditech via a 15 minute drive. Most people in the training program were flown in and are stuck in hotels in Framingham for the week (though I gave one woman some tips for things to check out in Boston over the weekend). At my lunch table there were people from Texas, Alaska and Nebraska (we discussed the ridiculous Boston housing market for a while). There were however some people from Cape Cod Hospital and a guy from Emerson with a wicked Boston accent behind me (I was wondering if Mr. Di may have known him - name was Mike or something and was probably a programmer).

Traffic back was nonexistent so I was able to hit the gym before heading home and making a dish with Brian I've wanted to try - a grilled pork w/ pineapple salsa (it was yummy, and fairly simple to make). Whenever he's done playing with Boba Fett bits we'll do something a bit more exciting :) . In the meantime I'll take down some of the butt ugly curtain rods in our living room that were here when we moved in and replace them with our own . . . its been over a year, you think its about time? :)

I gathered today he lives in Worcester - I'm thinking he may be new (he mentioned that he's been attending a lot of Meditech training recently).
