dancerjodiWho said geeking isn't useful? This weekend 2 Stormtroopers collected donations for the American Red Cross in their buckets. Its estimated by the end of the weekend they had $17k.
All in total from celebrities donating proceeds from photo/autograph sales, people collecting like our TKs, and other groups doing fundraisers, Dragoncon staff estimated at the close-out meeting that the weekend's fundraising at the con was at around $170k total. One hundred seventy thousand dollars!
