I cleaned up my craft/costume room a bit. In the process I found some really pretty fabrics (a shiny red velvet with purple and black undertones, a shiny PVC looking fabric, some lush purpley-burgandy satin that I was going to make a robe with and then decided against) and some ornate red+black frog closures that I bought in NYC in Chinatown the last time Brian and I went. I need to do something with all of these! First though, I'm going to mend the backlog of things that have been piling up.
As with anytime I go rummaging and organizing in the house, I'm getting rid of some things. Let me know if you want them (we can meet so you can get - I'm not shipping). We'll be at goffee tomorrow, if people want to grab them there (alternately I can meet you somewhere or you can get them at my house in Waltham). Beind the cut are costume goods, a book, a sewing machine attachment and msc. crafting items - feel free to forward on to crafty or costumey friends in the Boston area
Black and Blue Manic Panic wig, like the top on this page (from a Misato costume from Evangelion): http://www.manicpanic.biz/ct_CGtramp_wigs.htm
Cardcaptor Sakura talking Clow Wand - good for Cosplay (I never did make that Sakura costume and thinking on it, just don't think the style works for me): http://www.bobagirl.com/anime/ccs/ccs-bandai-wand.jpg
A bunch of white and red iron on letters (I inherited a cardboard box of msc craft supplies and these were in there - I can't think of a need for them)
Ribbon for Ribbon Embrodery (a bunch in various shades)
A small bag of buttons with pot leaves on them (yes, the straight edge person ended up getting these somehow, and duh, I don't want them)
A Side Cutter II Attachment for Zig-Zag Sewing Machines - mine does this already: http://www.sewingmachinestore.com/products/abp03546.html
"The Star Maiden" Cross Stitch and a frame loop, unused: http://www.doodle-head.com/xs/star_maiden/
A bag of fake moss that you could use in flower arrangements or in one of those Department 54 villages
A bag of rocks for use with a fountain (some from the beach, some from an old fountain)
A bag of seashells, sand dollars, etc
Msc flat wood things to glue onto craft projects - a bunch of hearts, a couple of wooden ovals, a tree and a rectangular piece (think, the stuff you'd see at AC Moore to glue onto little boxes or chalkboards or whatever)
A small cardboard box w/ lid shaped like a crescent moon (could be painted, decorated with fabric, etc). I bought a set of 3 years ago and this has been sitting since then, give it some life! :)
A clear plastic star with a pink iridescent tint that a pair of holiday undies came in a couple of years ago from Victoria Secret (seriously). It could hang on a tree as a decoration or hold potpourri or something. The two sides clip together and would be held shut by putting a ribbon or something through a loop at the top.
A book, "Sew a Beautiful Wedding": http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0935278052/104-3891111-1661552?v=glance
