dancerjodiYesterday was definitely the suck. I forgot my lunch in the car in the morning so my sandwich was no good by lunchtime. A salad, some warm V8 and random cheese slices I found in our fridge that I must have abandoned a week or so ago don't a filling lunch make. After work I visited Gram (which is nice, but sad at the same time given her old, frail, mind-going state). That of course was after sitting in parking lot traffic on 128, taking an hour to get home, and sweating like mad in my car with the dead AC. From there to the farm where I waited for an hour to get veggies (my farm-mate was stuck at work but had no way to get in touch with me, so I waited until the farm was about to close down, more time in the car sweating). After finally finding parking in Davis Square (more time in the car swearing) dinner, chai and conversation was much needed. I just didn't have it in me for anything less relaxed than that (so we didn't end up at the Middle East). After getting home though I set the alarm I apparently forgot to turn it ON. I had just enough time this morning to wake up, take care of the pets and get my shit together to get to work on time. All of these things are pretty minor on their own, its the compounding of stuff like this that makes me nuts!
But its Friday! And I finally got off my butt yesterday and got a new water filter for our fridge of doom (TM) which we've needed for 1.5 years. And Diesel was fun! And Anna's burritos are good! And its Friday! I'm hitting the gym today before heading home and taking a shower.
I still have no clue what we're doing tonight, waiting to hear back from some friends on plans. Tomorrow we'll work on the den shelves and hit the Crypt in Everett. Sunday will be finishing up shelves, hanging around the house, perhaps trying to make homemade sauce again, and figuring out the Leia buns. The Red Sox game is only a couple of weeks away, where Han, Chewie and I will be throwing out the first pitch!
