Tomorrow is the Red Sox game that Nate and I will be walking out on the field at (with a Chewie). For all of the initial excitement I'm kind of wishing I hadn't volunteered for it now.

The MOS is comping 2 tickets for us to see the game. I could care less. I'd much rather have my husband in a seat to take some good pictures and help me with my fricken hair (which I can't do myself). Instead there is a Red Sox ticket in presumably good seats in my name that's not transferable. Somehow I need to figure out my hair myself. If Brian does go it will be via him paying a lot of money for a ticket just to sit there until we throw out the first pitch, and then we'll be leaving the park. My seat will sit empty during what's apparently an exciting game (being the end of the season). I'll have to get myself back to the MOS via the T (which doesn't run all of the way to Science Park now). My parking which is supposed to be validated probably won't be, because the MOS person running this whole thing will be sitting and watching the game.

Ah well. We may be on NESN at around 6:15 apparently, though. Joy.

I'm sorry that this became more of a pain than a fun thing to do.

So is Chewie:

Are you *sure* that no one can use your tick? I've been given very expensive seats before that were in the name of my boss and was never looked at twice. I assume as long as *you* are the one to claim them (assuming they ask for ID) you can then give them to whomever you want... For instance, both you & B go whenever you need to be there, and you give him the ticket once you pick it up. Seems to me there's got to be a way through it... Anyway, I'll be looking for you!

she can't get in the park without the ticket. When I did the video for our friend, she had 4 tickets. One for her, one for me as I was her press person, and 2 for 2 other people who were going with her as part of her press group.. They gave us the ticket and it was scanned as each of us entered the gate. At least that's how they did it with us. Not sure if it's the same for those throwing out the opening pitch.

you may be able to get standing room only. Then make your way down to the line to get pictures and then leave with Jodi.

RE the Sox game being shown at theaters - often they don't actually air the first pitch being thrown out (so chances are people won't see us unless they are at the park) . . .

My neighbor's singing group did the national anthem a few weeks ago there, but I don't know what kind of ticket arrangements they had. I would have asked what they did if I'd known. I hope it all works out though.

I was going to ask you when this was, as I'd forgotten. We'll try and TiVo the beginning of the game, just in case they decide to show the first pitch. I hope they do!

I'm kind of surprised the MOS is only giving you each one ticket. That would be understandable if you were best friends, or married, but you're not. If Chewie isn't sticking around, you could try and snag his ticket for Brian... As for the parking ticket validation, I think you can get that done when you get to the museum, before you go to the game. Last time I went to see Lori, they asked me if I needed my ticket validated before she came down and met me at the desk. (I didn't have a car though) As for the T, you can get off at North Station and take the t-shuttle to Museum Park (with a transfer ticket), but it's not a bad walk, either.
