Goffee was fun (and crowded)! I started on a new knitting project (I finished the bulky, wide fall color scarf I was working on - it went to the Tiggerette). I think this will be my last scarf for a bit (I'm doing it in seed stitch out of some fantastic bright multicolor Red Heart stuff that's all purple, bright aqua blue and fuchsia). I'm going to move on to trying to do some kind of hat to match this scarf when the scarf is done and I'll call it an Xmas present. Crazy I tell you! :)
We got a tiny cauliflower last night at the farm share that would fit in the palm of my hand. I didn't know they made them that small! Seriously, its got 2 mouthfuls of veggie in it. I'm looking forward to fall cooking and baking now that the weather is getting cooler. Summer just makes it a bit hard to be motivated to do much beyond grilling. Also on the food note, tracking what I'm eating is teaching me so much about what things are worth in terms of calories/fat and the kind of things that put me over the edge. There are definitely patterns in there. It will be important for me to limit eating fatty foods when we go out if I want to stick in the caloric range. Its also important for me to eat healthy snacks during the day. I got stuck in a meeting yesterday, didn't get to eat my afternoon orange and was starving by the time I left work. The Junior Mints (fat free - but still 220 calories) I grabbed at JoAnne Fabrics did tide me over, but that orange would have been a much better choice. When I'm hungry I get kind of ill - I end up in a lot of uncomfortable pain. Its something I'd like to try and avoid. :)
WAAF advertised a show that's coming soon: Lenny Kravitz opening for Aerosmith at the Garden. Holy Crap! I wouldn't even think of trying to get (or afford) tickets for that one. They go on sale today I think though, if anyone is interested.
We'll be at Wizard World at the Bayside Expo this weekend with the Rebel Legion and 501st joining the celebrities that seem to be following a 'hot women from Buffy' theme. Brian commented that there may be a lot of people that come up actually recognizing me from all of the Red Sox media coverage. The footage may be aired at some sports recap show on Sunday (the museum is trying to get details to us so that we can tape it). Hopefully I'll have that to share later on.
