The Humpty Dance . . .
Jan. 9th, 2002 08:18 amMid-week, I can make it through. I don't feel so bad about my slack when the woman in the next cube over whines "you mean we have to work a whole week this week?".
I got a call from a woman from the Christmas Show last night about Dance Theater and the alum dance - rehearsals start on January 20th and there are 2 shows in February. I REALLY want to do this but I won't be able to if any of the shows or practices are on a Wednesday (unless that is, I can get there in time after my class at Umass). The song the alums will be dancing to is "Bring in the Noise" from "Bring in the Noise, Bring in the Funk" - the disturbing thing is that this particular recording is by Nsync (ew)!
B and I have been staying in trying to clean up ourselves (with healthy home-cooked food) and our surroundings (re-organizing, throwing things away and keeping on top of the clutter). I'm so proud of him - he's been going to the gym almost every day and is full of energy (which of course makes ME full of energy). My darn cold won't go away though so I can't take advantage of it; he had to fight me to stay in the house last night since I wanted to frolic!
I think tonight I may go out on the quest for a going-away gift for a friend. I know in my head what I'd like to get for him but my options are limited by the suburban shopping mall experience that is available after 'regular business hours'. Who knows, perhaps I'll get lucky!
I'm looking forward to a relaxed weekend with only a few commitments and to getting healthy again. And then NEXT week (hopefully, or rather, whenever my cold is gone) I'll get back into the workout routine and going to Punk Rock Aerobics - I wonder if MTV will be there filming next time :)
