The vet just called. She said Max's sugar is slightly high (but based on his behaviors is "probably basically regulated"). She also mentioned that his platelet count is slightly low and his liver enzymes slightly high, but with the absence of other symptoms and being only off slightly, she's not concerned about it.
Basically, she's attributing Max's weight loss and other activities to just being old and diabetic (i.e. to be expected, and not much we can do about it). Phew! Overall given his age and such, she said he's really healthy.

Date: 2006-01-24 11:13 pm (UTC)i got to call Idexx (the lab that does the bloodwork) several times today to double check on some of his results. and i made sure to get the results to the doctor as soon as they came through the fax. good. now you and brian can concetrate on you humans feeling better.

I think this was the first time that this particular doctor saw Max (usually he's with Debra Lynn). She commented to Brian a few times that she was amazed at how well he was doing, and said that when she was his age, she'd probably need to use puppy pads too! :)
