I am so glad the weekend is here. Its just been a very odd week on a few fronts.
Dinner and goffee last night was nice. I'm almost finished with my current knitting project (the handkerchief from Stitch and Bitch). I'm telling you, increasing and decreasing still eludes me; I'm having a hard time following their descriptions and diagrams. I think its more of a hands on thing that I'll need someone to demonstrate until I get it.
In geeky news, I'm getting AT-AT driver costume bits! I started this costume over a year or so ago, when I bought boots and gloves and planned on saving for the armor. A Dented Helmet guy was selling his finished set for a VERY good price (less than you'd pay for the unfinished kit), so all I'll need to complete it is a gray jumpsuit and some minor painting and helmet modification. We'll be selling the Scout stuff to my brother, who is probably going to sell his TK (if anyone is looking). I think I'll keep one of my mini AT-ATs in my jumpsuit pocket, so if anyone asks where I have it parked I can whip it out! Bwahaha! There are only a handful of AT-AT drivers legion wide, so it will be neat to have a different type of costume (but one that's still recognizable as being like a Stormie). It was almost 2 years ago that I saw one up close and tried on the helmet (DragonCon 2004, at the Thursday night 501st Hooters dinner) and fell in love! :)
We're laying low at home tonight since we'll be out tomorrow and Sunday. We're trooping at Waterville Valley for the Kiss 108 Winter Games http://www.kissfm.com/cc-common/mainheadlines2.html?feed=105446&article=358773 on Sunday, they'll be doing some kind of fund raising for Breast Cancer research I think.

My Bro's TK stuff
Date: 2006-02-03 07:33 pm (UTC)I'm not sure what he's asking for it, but it would the the armor and helmet all finished (my guess is that Sajuka wouldn't need to alter anything, given their similar sizes). I'm not sure if EJ is keeping his blaster and holster or not (he wouldn't need it for the Scout, but he may want to keep it just because he likes it). I know for certain he's not selling the black body suit - he wears it when jogging (though, those are easy enough to come by for cheap at Walmart).
I'll get more info and pass it on, if you/he are interested . . .
