"Just proving that I have indeed been living in Michigan too long, at first glance, this sentence looked like "A freezer bag of animal parts..." which made me think, "Hey! I have a freezer full of animal parts, too! Deer, buffalo, elk....." :)"
Yeah, I'd imagine you didn't run into elk that often when you were living in Arlington! Now, squirrels and raccoons and the sporatic possum, maybe! :). And I have friends that have a stash of frozen mice on hand at all times for their reptiles, but I digress.

My friend jetgrrl01 in LJ has a Dad who hunts, and sends her up all sorts of frozen random animal bits. We've been at parties at their house where they served buffalo lasagna, and (iirc), squirrel curry . . .
