Mal and Jayne are getting more and more comfortable with us, and our routines. Its weird thinking of how things were before them, because we've all kind of settled in together.

Jayne's new thing is sitting in our downstairs bathroom sink. He fills the whole thing since its small (and he's decidedly not). He seems to love water, and will climb into whatever sink he can. Weird cat.

Mal was freaked out by the little ladybug on the heel part of my slippers last night, and he would cautiously approach, bat at the "bug", and back off a bit. Jayne walked right up and smelled it, confirming it wasn't in fact a bug and Mal seemed to calm down a bit after that. Alas, he didn't care about them later in the night when I tried to get him to do it again for Brian.

Those slippers are really comfy by the way, though every piece of lint in my house sticks to them.

In not so happy kitty news, my Sister's cat isn't doing very well at all. She's the last of the three kittens that my siblings and I picked out 22 years ago, and she's been having more shaky face tremors as of late, and is vomiting most of what she's eating. I'm glad at least now that my Sister is settled in her new house, and that they can bury Toni there if they want to.

Here's an old pic of the three of them soon after we first brought them home all of those years ago (Toni is the one with more white than white+orange): http://www.diabolis.net/gallery/displayimage.php?album=282&pos=22 . Please keep her (and my Sister and Nephew) in your thoughts.

That picture of the three kittens is heart-breakingly adorable.

So, where did Blinky end up, if you don't mind me asking?

Blinky died about a year or so before Max did. He stayed at my parent's house (with my brother - he was his cat) and was fairly healthy into his old age. He just got slimmer and slimmer until one early morning that he woke up my brother, snuggled with him a bit, and then died in his arms. Animals just always amaze me with how smart they are about that kind of thing.
