dancerjodiOK, so I lied that I wouldn't be posting as much. Its a comforting routine, and all of that! :)
I gained 2 pounds last week. 2 pounds! Its not that shocking, given how poorly I've eaten. It just goes to show how fast things can come back, and its no wonder I gained 10+ pounds in the 3 years I was in grad school (and not exercising as much). Lets see if I can lose them over this week, being responsible and such. There's nothing wrong with eating well during the holidays - its eating more than one needs that's the problem. I have some baking to do in the next week too - it will be a lesson in willpower.
Brian and I have some ideas for our Den.
We already have our DVDs and CDs in booklets. What's going to move around will be the actual media componants. We may completely end up reversing the room, putting our couch where our entertainment center is, and getting something thinner/simpler in the place of that behemoth:

I'm thinking putting long shelves all down this wall would resolve our storage issues that would come from getting rid of the entertainment center (using 3 more full sized shelves to replace these small ones - you can see our DVD booklets here too):

We'd be getting a newer/thinner TV and would need something to put it on, or mount it on the wall (and we'd need something to put all of our components in, this would all go where the couch currently is, so we'd be losing those shelves). If we're able to sell our Entertainment center it will be a good deal of cash towards a TV and more compact media shelf. I'm wondering if we could also put some kind of storage bench/window seat along the driveway side window wall for extra seating and to store the rabbit supplies - I've always wanted a window seat! Our bunnies cage could most likely go under the bookshelves and to the left of the radiator. I'd have to look at it, but I don't think that they'd get in the way of the doorway (given that the couch would be moving). We shall see, but it should be fun at least thinking about it! Of course, when I get these ideas in my head I want to start moving shit around right away!
