We will be going. We're going to drive with friends, saving us around $400 or so (assuming we'd be kicking in $100 between the two of us for gas, tolls and parking in GA). We're not going to go the suite route, but we will be sharing a room with someone(s), which will defray costs. We usually bring Breakfast and some lunch foods and keep them in our room, so that also helps to defray some costs.

There were points last year where it was so crowded that I really wanted to kill someone. There were also times that I was wandering around, bored, and looking for something to do. I'll prepare better this year so that I can go off and amuse myself elsewhere if the need arises (I'll bring geeky knitting or something).

So now I've got 9 months to prepare - I'd like to bring something funky to wear this time! :)

As far as other travel, we'll have to see where things stand in the fall next year. We wanted to see a part of the world we hadn't yet in 2007 while being smart about finances at the same time. I think we should be able to pull off something in the fall or early winter, we shall see.

Glad to see that ya both are goin'. I use to drive between Mass. and Maryland when I lived in Baltimore. One thing I will share with ya that you're going to discover when ya drive this route: total toll expenses are one heck of a lot more expensive goin' north than they are goin' south!!
