The Melting Pot was Heavenly! Brian and I splurged and went for everything - cheese fondue, salad, dinner fondue (with lobster) and dessert fondue. We were seated in one of the cozy corner tables for two, where we couldn't see other diners. Each table has its own burner and pot and our wait person was so good at timing things perfectly.

After dinner we went across Rt. 9 to see Grindhouse. Damn! What a perfect end to a perfect night. There were about 8 people in the theater with us and 15 people in the entire building which was kind of freaky. I loved the score from both movies. The Texas Roller Derby gals make an appearance in Tarantino's film at the Taco Hut (Punky Bruiser and I can't remember the other gal's name).

We spent all day yesterday - about 12 hours (minus a break for lunch and dinner) - in our bathroom and the tiling is DONE! We have plans tonight, will grout tomorrow and Sunday it will sit. Here's hoping the plumber can come on Monday to hook the final stuff up (and we'll be able to shower again). I want my house and my life back! Here's some pics:

You should have a bathroom warming party! :-) We'll all bring rolls of TP and "paper" it, like they do when someone graduates!

I really really love that Art Deco tile. It's such a big difference, and very worth it.

Happy grouting! Notice I'm not volunteering to come help you on that one *silly grin*

if you're coming out to Xmortis I'll see you briefly, The Ranger is home visiting and I'm going out to see them and hang for a bit, but I'm working tomorrow.

i was really impressed with the layout of the melting pot. for a chain i thought they did a great job in making things nice and cozy. my only complaint was that i didn't like that the fish came pre seasoned, since i thought it was a touch overwhelming. but YUM and oh lord i was too full afterwards

There's one in Framingham, on 9, that's the one I went to and I believe J&B did. I think there's another one pending

I don't see the appeal, honestly. it was OK. Maybe I'm just pouty because it wasn't my birthday and we didn't get the chocolate hazelnut dessert fondue. *lol*

The URL is back a post or so in my LJ - there is one in Framingham, one in Bedford and soon to be one somewhere in Boston proper.
