Last night

dancerjodiI didn't get as much homework done as I had planned because I got home from work late. I decided to hang around the gym a bit after some weights and cardio to take one of the 15 minute long abs classes. MAN did that women kick my butt (or, abs)!
But still I decided to go to Ceremony after getting a big chunk of the homework done (alas, too late to catch Ash's set). Though the music was entertaining to listen to I wasn't moved to dance that often. And there weren't many of our friends there either (did everyone just disappear, or are they playing hermit like we have been - or is it just because we have played hermit we don't know many of the newbies?).
For once it was B that was tired and wanted to go home early - I squeezed his hand and said "Okay, just let me get in one or two more songs before we go". And I waited for something that moved me to dance to come on.
OH MY GAWD! Never did I think I'd hear Prince at a Goth night (okay, it was a goth night version of "Bottlerocket" but still!). I flew out there for "Lets go Crazy" and the dance routine that I did in 11th grade in Dance Theater to that song flew back into my head (no, I didn't do the dance - that just would have been silly). It was followed by a classic Funk song which I can't remember the name of now but it was truly booty-shakin' inspiring.
So it was a nice night - and tonight I'll probably be up later than I had hoped working on reading, but it will be worth it :)
