Neat! My company is opening the first http://www.thebabycafe.co.uk/What%20is.htm in the United States! It will be in Melrose, MA http://www.hallmarkhealth.org/services_maternity_preadmission_breastfeeding.php . I wanted to pass it on to friends in the area that may want to use their services (its free after all).

We offer a lot of good services like this to our patients. Now, if they'd open it up to be more convenient for *employees* to take advantage of (being a primarily female company) it would be a nice gesture. Even THP had a mother's room, though here if you're not working in the clinical environment and you need that kind of thing you're kind of stuck.

I had a woman come to my office once, imploring my help in finding a quiet enclosed space with an electric outlet to pump breastmilk. She desperately wanted to breastfeed her new baby, but there was no place she could go during the day to pump. I racked my brain but couldn't think of anywhere either. I couldn't give her access to any room in the University because that would jeapardize my job. :(
