We had a great time at 'Down with Tempo' at Ceremony last night. Brian actually said "you know, this clubbing thing isn't that bad - we should make a habit of it". It helps having DJs spin what you like and having friends there to socialize with. I haven't dressed up for a club in forever, but if cute guys are going to say I look smooth and slinky, maybe I should make a habit of it? A bunch of the old folks were out, and I even had a card reading with Sara for the first time in forever (I remembered I did actually back in 2000 or 2001 or something before). Its funny, it was quite mellow except for a couple of little points - she said that they don't usually turn out that way for folks.
The jury is still out on whether we'll be at Xmortis on Friday. I'm not quite in the mood for TT's but I'd like to see friends perform. I won't be able to go to the Goth Bellydance show on 7/1 due to a bunch of other plans on the same day, so I figured maybe this would be where I'd get my goth bellydancing on. I think we'll just need to play it by ear.
Marilyn Manson's new album comes out today. I'm morbidly curious, despite not being crazy about the single that's out on the radio now. I've read some interviews with both he and Dita lately on their divorce. She's definitely one classy lady, and I'm glad at least he acknowledges that he's immature (when asked about what its like to date his current beau, a 19 year old actress in his video, he mentioned that they are on a similar maturity level emotionally). It is what it is I guess, I'm just not sure how good it is for a 30ish year old guy to be at a 20ish year old maturity level - not that its my business or matters in the grand scheme of things. Also in music, we saw Mike Patton's Peeping Tom on a taped episode of The Rollins Show. I definitely want to pick that album up if and when its available (and my friend J who is a huge Patton fan - he's her rock star boyfriend kind of like Anthony Keidis is mine - is going to record some of his other stuff like Tomahawk for us).
The weird thing is that Brian and I usually have a ton of shows to go to over the summer. This year is the exception though. Things either haven't been grabbing us or are not worth the money (excuse me but Slayer and Marilyn Manson for $50+ each ticket? no way). I'm sure we'll hit some local shows (we've got one planned in mid-June at Mark's Showplace). On the complete other side of the spectrum though, I have already ordered tickets to see 42nd Street in August with the local semi-pro theater group. Its one of my favorite classic shows - very tap heavy!

*lol* usually people use this excuse to "prove" how mature someone is for their age. i just love the way you phrased it.
