Brian and I will be going to http://2008.arisia.org/ next year. Not only are we going, but we're renting a hotel room. Not only are we going and renting a hotel room, but we're going to try and get the SW Costumers more involved. Maybe the Firefly ones too. And by that point we should have a good contingent of Battlestar Galactica people in the area . . .

What kind of science fiction popular media stuff would *you* like to see at Arisia, any genre?

I am pertty sure that there are fan groups, and maybe even costuming groups, for all of those already.

Yes there are. They haven't been (officially) involved with Arisia in the past though, or at least that's my assumption.

Brian and I are involved with SW, Browncoat, Stargate and Galactica groups already. If you have any leads on the others please let me know! :)

The above folks have been at arisia and boskone for years to throw parties and attempt recruitment. I do not know if either has a solid web site.

I imagine we'll go this year. I just added it to the calendar, as well as the date ticket prices increase (end of September).

Do you know how much the hotel rooms are running? The hotel reports being sold out, so I'm assuming that means Arisia has arranged a group rate, but they haven't posted that info on the website yet. If it really goes all weekend, we'd probably be interested in sharing a room with someone.

I think they may still be figuring the room stuff out. I'm just going to keep an eye on the website and see what is posted there.
